How to make a dance without seeing the other partner:

I started to think about what I want to write down as the first move... I started to think then I started to see black. A black space where you can't actually see anything. You'll try mighty hard, but there is nothing to see. So, you close your eyes and see a mystery.

With your background in Jump Rhythm, I started to think I need to do a piece with you that is based more or less with some of your percussive nuances. Your attention to detail and amazing style. Of course, we will blend our ideas and make the piece together, but what about starting in all black? Starting where all our community can do is listen and open their minds to a different kind of movement-scape that eventually could open up to more movement with possibly lesser sounds, but nonetheless encompass ideas of rhythm and time.

Whether or not we stick with this idea, I know it will be amazingly fun and something we will have to do one way or another. In lieu of a serious modern dance piece, what about something that could invoke (dare I say) happiness? Or enjoyment without drudging up sad sticky feelings (even though the other piece I'm working on might be exactly that)?

I bet David would be down to create a score... the only song I have in my head however is "That's the Joint" by BEP. Such a smooth sound with a pop of energy to keep my heart beating. .  .  .   .    .     .

Thoughts?
